Why is there no seperate Virtual Grand Prix 3 forum yet? I know most of yall like this sim from the great reviews that were given Vol 5 iss. 2 and Vol 4 iss 4. I really like racing this sim. Great AI races and physics, FFB, tracks, and models are done nicely. Thanks for the great magazine!

I suppose we can now consider this the VGP3 thread smile.gif A great sim, and a beta 0.80 version is available as well as an updated mod for it, all looks really good.

Guess I'm not too good of a leader huh? lol blush.gif

Well, I bought the full product. I really like it. Runs smooth and fast. Great AI with my son over lan. Physics, tracks, FFB and realism are great too. Installed the Formula Fantasy, and 07 mod too. Just plain works and runs great. No muss no fuss.

Yeah, it's a good one.

Still a little rough and has a way to go yet, but since it's already very good, it's likely going to be splendid.

That's what I had been mostly driving lately. Shift pulled me away from it for a bit, but I'm probably going to get back into it soon. I haven't gotten around to trying the final version of FF2009 yet. Maybe this weekend.

The AI works very well and they'll definitely stamp on your pride a bit. It's not like other sims where they're challenging just because you can set them to lap a little faster than you. That too of course, but they'll fight the hell out of you. IMO it actually needs an aggression slider because I wouldn't mind even turning it down a bit. When they're fixing to pass you, it's pretty hairy trying to keep them behind you. Even if you drive like a dick and weave all over the place, they'll still cleanly squeeze through the moment you drop the ball even a tiny bit.

Good stuff.

Sounds like real life! You know what you need to do in these scenarios is drive faster! Or let them by, those are your options.

Anyway, I see we have a number of forums that are based around sims that no one touches anymore and this could be a lacking area. I am toying with some consolidation.

I am happy to put up a VGP forum as long as it isn't an empty world!

Best AI since GPL/GP4 (easily), new way of calculating tire physics dynamically, and the first thing you think when you drive it is "...wow, this is damn near as good as iRacing.." at least that is what I thought.

Certainly rough around the edges, but easily the best F1 sim on the PC at the moment.

Aero and I are working on a secret project about this, and we can't talk about it.
